Exactly what it looks like.
We don't send, edit, or delete your email, and a photo you send BlindSpot is read once for its text, then thrown away. It's never kept. There's no separate number to text or forward anything to. Everything stays on your phone until you choose to send a screenshot.
What BlindSpot can and can't do

- Keeps a photo after it's read, or sells your data
This isn't just a policy we promise to follow. Your email provider's own permission system makes send/edit/delete technically impossible for us. We can only ever read.
The read-only permission, specifically
When you connect an inbox, whether that's Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, or another provider, you're granting a read-only permission (for Gmail specifically, Google calls it gmail.readonly; other providers have their own equivalent). This isn't just a promise in our privacy policy. Your provider's own permission system makes it technically impossible for BlindSpot to send, delete, label, archive, or edit anything in your mailbox. We only ever look at mail you've already sent or received, to spot commitments you've made.
The other two channels are all opt-in, one-time actions you take, not standing access we hold. A photo or screenshot you snap or upload, whether it's a text thread, a note, or anything else, is read once for its text and discarded. Anything you type in is exactly what it looks like, text you wrote, submitted directly. There's no separate BlindSpot phone number and nothing to forward to. Your texts never leave your phone unless you choose to screenshot and send one. None of these give BlindSpot any access beyond the specific thing you sent it.
